Hola queridos lectores, ya estamos de vuelta y en esta oportunidad le contamos que este texto lo creamos entre Winston y yo ¿Qué les parece?
La pasada noche estuvimos conversando sobre los colores que eligió Pantone para el 2016 y en verdad nos parecieron súper interesantes ambos, pero hoy nos quisimos enfocar en tan solo uno de ellos, un color que visualmente crea una excelente armonía si de look monocromáticos hablamos y por supuesto hablamos del azul.
Este color se caracteriza por tener gran variedad de tonalidades desde el navy blue que es uno de los más clásicos y utilizados en el mundo hasta el azul cobalto que fue el rey del otoño pasado. Este es un color que transmite seguridad, paz y madurez pero sí de moda hablamos es uno de esos colores que no importa la estación del año el siempre estará presente. Grandes firmas como Chlóe, Valentino y Gucci lo han mostrado en sus más recientes colecciones Y diseñadores como Jean Paul Gaultier lo tiene como su bandera oficial.
Pero vamos a lo que vinimos: decidimos armar estos looks con diferentes tonalidades y mezclando texturas, en mi caso me fui por un lady like moderno con aires de invierno, confieso que amé mi falda en leather en azul marino, opté por utilizarla con un suéter en serenity blue que evoca la época más fría del año y para darle el toque final un mini bolso en rosa cuarzo (este color será mi uniforme en 2016, lol) por supuesto mis divertidos pompones no podían quedarse los cuales matizan súper bien con los clásicos stilettos dorados.
Winston siempre fiel a su estética mezcló tres tonos: baby blue, navy blue y serenity en su caso los complementos vinieron en un tono de marrón con fondo rojizo el cual hace un balance perfecto en el rejuego de tonalidades Frias. Detalles como pañuelo en seda bicolor y estampado ayudan a creer un total look bastante relajado pero sin perder lo elegante.
Si decides utilizar uno de estos tonos de azules hay varios puntos que te recomendamos tomes en cuenta:
- Procura que haya armonía entre el tono de azul y tu piel.
- Recuerda que el azul marino transmite seguridad así que si asistirás a una reunión importante este será perfecto.
- No tengas miedo de los tonos pasteles; hoy en día tienes miles de posibilidades para mezclarlo desde otro color pastel hasta el gris plomo (se ve súper chic).
Pero lo más importante es que no olvides ser tú mismo y divertirte en el camino.

Last night Winston and I talked about the colors chosen by Pantone for the year 2016 and indeed we found them both extremely interesting, but today we wanted to focus on just one of them, a color that visually creates an excellent harmony as a monochromatic look and yes we are speaking of blue.
This color is characterized by a variety of shades from navy blue, which is one of the most classic and used in the world. Even the cobalt blue was King last fall. This is a color that conveys security, peace and maturity. In fashion the color blue always looks good no matter the season you wear it. Fashion firms such as Chloe, Valentino and Gucci have shown it in their latest collections and designers as Jean Paul Gaultier uses it like his official flag.
Now let's talk about Serenity: We decided to put together these looks with different shades and a mixture of textures. In my case, I went for a modern winter breeze look. A leather skirt in true blue paired with a heavy sweater in Serenity blue that evokes the coldest time of year. To put the finishing touches I opted for a mini bag in Rose Quartz (this is the second color chosen by Pantone for 2016) with my funny pompoms of course and to finish really well a pair of classic stilettos.
Winston as always true to his aesthetic mixed three colors: baby blue, navy blue and serenity. Accessories came in a shade of brown with reddish under tone for his shoes and belt, which makes a perfect balance in the interplay of cool colors during the fall. Details such as a silk ascot and bicolor pocket square helped create a quite relaxed look without losing its dapper elegance.
If you decide to use one of these tones of blue there are several points that we recommend you take into account:
- Make sure that there is harmony between the shade of blue and your skin tone.
- Remember that navy blue transmits security so if you’re planning to attend an important meeting this will be perfect.
- Don’t be afraid of pastel colors; today there’s many possibilities of mixing these together and we even suggest pairing it with shades of grey (looks super chic).
Most importantly, do not forget to be yourself and have fun along the way.
