Hello girls, what are you up to? Well, we are very excited because today we are going to announce a super cool dynamic that we have been preparing for some days now and that we know it will be very useful to you: we will talk about an activity that has become the summer meeting par excellence, the so-called ''BRUNCH'' that you have surely heard about before! It is the trend of the moment as far as lifestyle is concerned, if you have not yet had the chance to attend this type of social event or do not know what it is about, this week in our blog we will give you all the details and you will know how to prepare to be hostess. Special thanks to Mikasa for partnering w/ us for this exciting content, all the table sets shown in this post and on our social platforms can be found here

The English word ''Brunch'' is a mixture between ''breakfast'' and ''lunch'' which as its name says translated into Spanish is the union between breakfast and lunch, this regularly takes place between 11:00 Am at 3:30 pm, soft dishes are served in it: canapés, sausages and fruit juices, sometimes hot chocolate or tea, a menu quite similar to a European breakfast, in fact, its origin comes from Europe, it is said that in London the servants of bourgeois families had a free day on Sunday, so one day before they prepared a great banquet that would satisfy their masters during their absence in serving the different meals of the day, this is why in brunch we find mixtures of dishes that are usually suggested for a lunch and others for breakfast, despite having their emphasis on Britain, the French also started promoting this activity in a more commercial and less elitist way, tending to meet in the middle of the morning to talk about social issues or simply as a weekend activity in a family oriented way. Other countries such as Spain have adopted it however, on this side of the world it first arrived to the USA where British immigrant families continued to carry on this activity on American soil and which over time, restaurants saw as a commercial opportunity beyond its ceremonial beginnings.

All in all, we hope you guys enjoy this content, as much as we loved making it for you. Hope the tips and background info is useful on hosting or attending your next Brunch. Don't forget to visit Mikasa to see all their beautiful dinnerware, flatware, drink ware and many other home essentials.
