Hello all, we’re super excited about today's post because it celebrates Women and how their impact on different industries is becoming more powerful and frequent. Recently, we had the opportunity to sit down with a local business Woman to chat about entrepreneurship and how she has overcome adversities on her way to the top. The goal is simple, to raise awareness about equality for Women in business and what better way than to meet a local trailblazer that has defeated the odds in a male-dominated industry. Now, we would like to take this opportunity to tell you about Beatriz - a commercial logistics entrepreneur from Long Island, NY. Her career started as a credit analyst at a financial firm in New York City, and after a few years there, she left to start her own business because she believed she could do more. Let us stop here for a moment and state that believing in oneself is a powerful thing, especially if you want to be an entrepreneur like Beatriz, there's nothing wrong with being bold, propel yourself to achieve more and carve your own path.
If you want to make your own way and have your voice heard, according to Beatriz, never limit yourself, don't be afraid of anything, and even though, the job gets stressful due to many different things at the end of the day owning your own business is a gratifying experience. Now, I would like to highlight some of the benefits that she enjoys after taking the bold step to be an entrepreneur.
Personal - her business has given her the financial resources to improve the quality life of her family.
Flexibility - due to her being able to create her own schedule, she has more time to spend with her family.
Empowerment - after years of hard work and obtaining her own fleet of tractor trailers, she's been able to give office job opportunities to other Women.
As we culminate this story of Women entrepreneurship, we hope to incite a dialogue that would spark change beyond a professional aspect but also across communities.
